Peter and Paul P-Square Back Together...!! After weeks of Break-up Drama

PSquare, Nigerian musical group comprising the Okoye brothers, seems to have buried the hatchet after weeks of drama and public spat about splitting up.

Peter and Paul Okoye took to their social media pages to share similar pictures with the same captions.

“That it took our stupidity to realize that FAMILY comes first, We are VERY SORRY.”

Jude Okoye, their elder brother and manager who was sacked at the beginning of the drama, was not left out as he shared the same picture with his twin brothers.

That it took our stupidity to realize that FAMILY comes first, We are VERY SORRY. @peterpsquare… https://t.co/PxmoBhbRCj

— JUDE Engees OKOYE (@judeengees) March 21, 2016

There were speculations that the brothers were longer an item after Peter Okoye, one half of the musical group, announced his new manager and rechristened himself ‘Mr P’.

The 33-year-old dancer also performed at a few shows alone, which was unusual, and released a single Look Into my Eyes.

Paul Okoye, who stood with Jude Okoye, their brother and manager at the beginning of the drama, also released a single about the situation.

With lyrics like ‘Cos if to say una dey, For everything wey dey happen today, E for be say una go intervene, Cos right now everything na pain, See your children dey misbehave’ fans reached the conclusion that he was reporting the situation to their dead parents.

This is not the first time that there have been speculations of a split between the brothers but this is the first time that the brothers have had a public fight and exchanged remarks.

In 2014, there were rumours of a PSquare split but it was debunked by the brothers.

The brothers kicked off their musical career 19 years ago and are known for hit tracks like Do Me, Personally, BizzyBody to mention a few.

Revealed..!! The Success secrets of UNILAG graduate who scored 5.0 CGPA

Ayodele Dada, the ex-University of Lagos student, who scored a accumulative grade point average of 5.0, was honoured by the house of representatives on Wednesday.

The house suspended its standing rules to receive him at its chamber, in a rare show of honour reserved for only presidents and top government officials.

Speaking with TheCable afterwards, Dada briefly narrated how he juggled several jobs and school, declaring that he never had a girlfriend in his time at the university.

On how he achieved the feat, he said: “They were many things that contributed to that. It is difficult to put it down to one thing because I look at life as a very colourful mosaic of experiences; they all blend to create a picture.

“I know God was there for me all the way, but there was the support of very well-meaning but not-so-celebrated people like my lecturers.”

Regarding how he coped with female course mates, he said: “Interestingly, almost all my friends are girls. Why that is so is that I maintain a positive relationship with girls. For me, it was more of focus, and the readiness to keep to my principles.”

And on whether he had a girlfriend at school, he simply said:”I didn’t have any girlfriend.”

Dada also said that he had received a lot of job offers, but that he would think on which one best suits his vision.

“Yes, I have got a number of offers. One day passes and I get a call, then another call; I don’t know the number, but they are accumulating. They are so many, so it is up to me decide what is in line with my vision.”

On how he survived at school, he said: “I had to work at school. I was working several jobs to pay my bills after classes. There were times I had financial challenges and I was hungry.

“I faced all the difficulties. Although after a while, there was a bit stability. I did private tutoring, and I made sometimes N5,000 per day.”

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, is teaming up with the Bank of Industry (BoI) and the Kaduna and Kebbi state governments to acquire majority stake in Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) Limited.

This disclosure was made by Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, at the launch of the Bank of Industry youth empowerment scheme (YES).

“We have submitted bids for the car maker … with Aliko Dangote on board together with BoI, Kebbi and Kaduna state; we are confident our bid will sail through,” he was quoted by Reuters to have said.

Banger Alert in Osun as Workers will not recieve March salary..!!!

From all indications, the Osun state government will be unable to pay the March salaries of its workers, as the state only got N6.23 million in federal allocation for the month.

This is far below the N56 million it received in September 2015. Rauf Aregbesola, governor of the state, has said the sum will not even be enough to pay electricity bills for the state secretariat.

“Money coming from the Federation Account has dipped seriously and our hope for survival is in our hands; what our forefathers lived on was agriculture,” Aregbesola said back in September 2015.

“For September, our state got N55.8 million. The money we received cannot pay for the power supply by Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) that we use at the state Secretariat monthly.”

According to the accountant-general of the federation, the state got a gross statutory allocation of N1.677 billion for February, slightly above the allocation for Ekiti, Ebonyi, Kwara and Bayelsa.

Osun also got N19.418 million and N726.1 million from the exchange rate gain and value added tax, resulting in a total gross amount of N2.423 billion for the month.

The total allocation for Osun was seen to be higher than Nasarawa, Kwara, Gombe, Ekiti and Ebonyi.

However, with the removal of the N70.989 million, N945.881 million and N1.400 billion in external debt, Irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO), and other debts, the state was left with a net allocation of N6.23 million.

With a wage bill of over N2.6 billion, the net allocation of N6.23 million would do next to nothing in the southwestern state with meagre internally generated revenue (IGR).

Every other state of the federation had a minimum net allocation of N1 billion.

Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kwara, Gombe, Nasarawa, had a net allocation of N2.984 billion, N2.167 billion, N1.377 billion, N1.815 billion, N2.300 billion, N2.169 billion respectively.

With a wage bill of N2.6 billion, Ekiti, like Osun, led by Ayodele Fayose, may also have problems meeting its wage obligations.

On the high end, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Lagos and Rivers state got N8.557 billion, N6.062 billion, N6.612 billion and N5.427 billion respectively.

Gbege! for DSS as Ekiti Lawmaker dies in their custody..!!

The Ekiti state government says one of the state assembly lawmakers in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) has died.

Lanre Ogunsuyi, commissioner for information, youth, sports and culture, made the disclosure at a news conference in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.

“Information reaching us indicates that one of the abducted members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Honourable Afolabi Akanni (pictured), has died in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS),” he said.

“Significantly, since his illegal detention, he has been held incommunicado without access to his family members, doctors and lawyers.

“We call on the DSS to immediately clarify the situation as to the status (dead or alive) of Hon. Afolabi Akanni, representing Efon Constituency, by producing him physically for all Nigerians, particularly his immediate family to see.

“While we are waiting for the DSS, we urge every resident of Ekiti State, particularly the people of his immediate constituency in Efon, to remain calm.”

Ogunsuyi also alleged that the lawmaker, who was arrested on March 4, died owing to a lack of access to a doctor.

“We were told that he developed an ailment last night and he died by morning. The DSS had denied him access to his family, his doctor or to anyone that knows him,” he claimed.

The Ekiti state assembly had been in the throes of crisis, forcing its closure.

Ayodele Fayose, governor of the state, once alleged that the crisis in the state legislature was the handiwork of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also alleged that the APC had given the state lawmakers $1m to impeach him.

See what Iran did to a Corrupt Government Official like D*suki...!

Iran has sentenced billionaire tycoon Babak Zanjani, reportedly one of the country’s richest men, to death, convicting him of corruption after a long trial on accusations he fraudulently pocketed $2.8 billion. A justice official announced the punishment Sunday, noting that Zanjani, who became notorious for finding ways to channel hard currency from oil sales during the sanctions-ridden era of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from 2005 to 2013, could appeal.

Zanjani rose to prominence after sanctions imposed on the Islamic republic’s banks as punishment for its nuclear programme hit the country’s finances hard. Having taken commissions, he said he was at all times working with the knowledge and backing of Ahmadinejad’s government and he boasted in media interviews of his skills and wealth amassed by managing to subvert the banking restrictions.

He said he did so using a web of companies in various countries including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Malaysia, selling millions of barrels of Iranian oil. But he was arrested in December 2013, three months after current President Hassan Rouhani took office, having pledged to crack down on corruption. Zanjani, 41, was convicted of fraud and economic crimes and must repay money to the state as well as face the death penalty, judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejeie said.

The trial was public, a rarity for such a major case in Iran, and two other accused were also convicted of “corruption on earth”, the most serious offence in the Islamic republic, meaning they too will face the death penalty. “The preliminary court has sentenced these three defendants to be executed, as well as paying restitution to the plaintiff,” said Mohseni-Ejeie, adding this was the oil ministry. They must also pay a “fine equal to one fourth of the money that was laundered”, the spokesman said, without specifying the sum. Zanjani had denied wrongdoing, insisting the only reason the money had not been paid to the oil ministry was that sanctions had prevented a planned transfer from taking place. That claim was disputed in court.

Rashford To Dump N13m Audi For Super Car From Man Utd Sponsors (Photos)

After initially ignoring the teenager at the beginning of the season, reports in the UK have now revealed that Man United sponsors, Chevrolet has now decided to present Old Trafford hero, Marcus Rashford with his own super car.

According to reports in The Sun UK late on Tuesday, Rashford, who drives a grey Audi A3 worth between N8.2m and between N13.13m (£18,865 and £30,195) in which he was seen in school on Monday, will now be led by Chevrolet representatives to choose a super car of his choice within the array of models by the American companies.

“All the first teamers get free cars from Chevrolet but Marcus has come in under the radar and doesn’t have his own Chevy.

“That’s all about to change, however, and the marketing guys at Chevrolet will be getting him to choose which motor he wants,” The Sun UK quoted a source as saying to the tabloid on Tuesday.

Yawa don Gas OBJ and GEJ over recovered loots..!!!

A federal high court sitting in Lagos has ruled that successive governments since 1999 erred by not publicising details of the stolen funds that have been recovered. The judgment was delivered by M.B. Idris, a justice, following a freedom of information suit no: FHC/IKJ/CS/248/2011 brought by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP). Idris asked the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to “ensure that his government, and the governments of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and former President Goodluck Jonathan account fully for all recovered loot”. He said previous governments breached the fundamental principles of transparency and accountability for failing to disclose details about the spending of recovered stolen public funds, including on a dedicated website”. “The details ordered by the court to be disclosed include: information on the total amount of recovered stolen public assets by each government; the amount of recovered stolen public assets spent by each government as well as the objects of such spending and the projects on which such funds were spent,” SERAP said in a statement. “Justice Idris dismissed all the objections raised by the federal government and upheld SERAP’s arguments. Consequently, the court entered judgment in favour of SERAP against the federal government as follows: “A DECLARATION is hereby made that the failure and/or refusal of the Respondents to individually and/or collectively disclose detailed information about the spending of recovered stolen public funds since the return of civil rule in 1999, and to publish widely such information, including on a dedicated website, amounts to a breach of the fundamental principles of transparency and accountability and violates Articles 9, 21 and 22 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act “A DECLARATION is hereby made that by virtue of the provisions of Section 4 (a) of the freedom of information Act 2011, the 1st defendant/respondent is under a binding legal obligation to provide the plaintiff/applicant with up to date information on the spending of recovered stolen funds, including: “Detailed information on the total amount of recovered stolen public assets that have so far been recovered by Nigeria. The amount that has been spent from the recovered stolen public assets and the objects of such spending.” Olukayode Majekodunmi, SERAP deputy executive director, commended the judgment, describing it as a step towards encouraging a “corruption-free society”. “This judgment confirms the persistent failure of successive governments starting from the Obasanjo government, to respect Nigerians’ right to a corruption-free society and to uphold constitutional and international commitments on transparency and accountability,” he said. “The judgment is an important step towards reversing a culture of secrecy and corruption that has meant that high-ranking government officials continue to look after themselves at the expense of the well-being of majority of Nigerians, and development of the country. “This is a crucial precedent that vindicates the right to a transparent and accountable government and affirms the human right of the Nigerian people to live a life free from want and fear. We are in the process of obtaining a certified copy of the around 60 pages judgment. SERAP will do everything within its power to secure the full and effective enforcement of this judgment.”

Fayose to Buhari, "You have committed Political 419"...

Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of exhibiting “the peak of political 419″ by making promises without fulfilling them. Fayose said APC deceived Nigerians to get their votes in the last election by promising to create 3 million jobs per year, yet the president had “not created a single job”. “President Muhammadu Buhari prefers and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), duped Nigerians by obtaining their votes by trick,” he said in a statement issued on Tuesday by Lere Olayinke, his media aide. “Everything Buhari and his party promised Nigerians when they were looking for votes, they have denied and it won’t be a surprise if one day, Buhari comes out to even deny that he was elected on the platform of APC. “Buhari’s declaration that he would not pay the N5,000 stipend he promised to unemployed youths in the country and minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s claim that creation of three million jobs per year was not promised by the APC as the peak of political 419 that the president and his party represent. “They have not fulfilled any of the promises they made to Nigerians. In fact, they have even told us that they never made any promise. It is close to one year that Buhari assumed office; no single job has been created. Instead of the three million jobs per year that they promised, what we have been witnessing is job losses, economic hardship and budget padding.”. Fayose described Buhari’s declaration of support for Palestine and description of Palestinians as his “brothers and sisters” that must achieve their desired objectives as a confirmation of the growing suspicion of the president’s ‘interest’ in Nigeria becoming a full Islamic State. “Even though I am a lover of Muslims, I relate with them as I do with Christians in the State and across the country, Nigeria must remain secular and a free nation where its citizens proclaim the name of Jesus Christ and Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) freely,” he said. “The moment President Buhari disowned his own campaign document titled: ‘My Covenant with Nigerians,’ that was circulated to Nigerians during the electioneering campaign and also published in national newspapers and posted online on March 16 and 17, 2015, I knew that Nigerians had been duped. “Nigerians have now realised that they are inside a ‘One Chance Bus’ because Buhari and his APC have disowned their entire campaign promises by disowning their campaign document titled ‘My Covenant with Nigerians’. “This document that they disowned in August, last year contained everything they promised Nigerians and if today, President Buhari chose faraway Qatar to announce that he won’t pay the N5, 000 promised unemployed youths and Lai Mohammed is here in Nigeria saying no job was promised, no one should be surprised. “Rather, Nigerians can only begin to pray that God, who rescued Daniel from den of lions will rescue us from this Buhari/APC one chance bus that we have entered.”

Also reacting, Afenifere’s spokesman, Mr Yinka Odumakin, described the situation as: “Tragic and symptomatic of the lawlessness and depravity in our society”. “Good that Papa’s security details have the clues that will be useful in tracking the fellows in the bullion van. They must be made accountable.”

No going Back!----Pro-Biafrans Say..See who they told!

In a release yesterday in Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, said it took its agitation for the release of its leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu to Pope Francis at Vatican City for him to see the level of killing and injustice meted to them by the present All Progressives Congress government of President Muhammadu Buhari. Addressing newsmen yesterday in Nnewi, IPOB Media and Publicity Officer, Mr. Emma Powerful said IPOB has made 5,500 calls to Pope Francis who accepted and gave his word to pray for the agitators and talk about Biafra and its restoration. “The IPOB bombarded Pope Francis with 5,500 calls and the Pope answered the calls and gave his word to make sure he talks about Biafra and its restoration and yesterday, about 35,000 Biafra agitators in Europe, Asia and America visited the Pope at Vatican City and the Pope and other Catholic leaders addressed them as Biafrans and prayed for them. That was the first time a world leader at that level addressed us and called us by the name Biafrans and prayed for us,” he said. “We are therefore calling on other church leaders to condemn the evil of killing innocent protesters and agitators and detention of an innocent man who did not do anything to break the law of a country we are not part of, a country that we are demanding for our freedom they have forcefully taken and upon that, they are killing us for demanding for our freedom. This evil must be condemned by the world leaders and religious leaders, whom we want to pray for us. “We urge the Christian leaders, Archbishop of Canterbury, Anglicans worldwide, World Christian Society, WCS, American Christians to pray for Biafra actualization and freedom. This is the time to stand up for the truth because the Boko Haram members who are killing people on daily basis have not been visited with the type of extrajudicial killings with which this APC government has visited us,” he said.
Denial
Meanwhile, the youth wing of the pan Igbo socio political organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has denied meeting with any USA- based group to discuss issues pertaining to the struggle for an independent state of Biafra as earlier reported. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had accused Ohanaeze Youth Council of betraying Biafra through its alleged meeting with a USA- based organization which came to Nigeria to hold discussions on the Biafra struggle. In an interview with Vanguard in Aba, National President, Ohanaeze Youth Council, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, who said he has continued to receive calls from well meaning Nigerians on the development, described the alleged meeting with the USA delegation as a figment of the imagination of the authorities of IPOB. He called on IPOB and the operators of Radio Biafra to tender an unreserved apology to Ohanaeze Youth Council and refrain from instigating crisis in Igbo land.
No support for Biafra
Also yesterday, the chairman of South East traditional rulers council, Eze Eberechi Dick denied declaring support for Biafra, saying that nobody should rope him into the Biafra controversy. Eze Dick spoke while reacting to a publication which alleged that he is supporting agitation for the creation of Biafan Republic. Dick who is also the chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers and the newly installed Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Minna, said he never declared support for the agitators. “I have never discussed such with any one at any given time either in Abia or outside the state. “I granted an interview to reporters after the university convocation and when they asked me about Biafra, I told them that I am a traditional ruler and not a politician and that I have no interest in politics,” Eze Dick explained. He warned that nobody should drag him into the controversial Biafra issue as he believes in the development of Igboland under a united one Nigeria. According to him, when he spoke to journalists in Minna after his induction as the Chancellor, he spoke on how he intends to take the University to a next level, pointing out that when the issue of Biafra came up, he told them that he is not a politician. Eze Dick said that his focus is on how to give Ndigbo a sense of belonging and new direction as the leader of the traditional rulers from the zone and not to try to divide the country by any means. ” What the country needs is a united Nigeria and not a divided one so that together, we can change the country and make it better instead of dividing it”.

Breaking!!..Jamb Students complain of No answer in the options

Some candidates of the on-going Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, said aside the lateness in starting the examination, a bigger challenge was with the English Language paper as answers to some of the questions were not made available. Miss Basirat Jerah a candidate writing JAMB, whose examination center was at the Yaba College of Technology, said “the examination scheduled to commerce at 6:30am started by 8:45am as a result of server failure, but the surprising aspect was that some of the questions on English Language were wrong as the answers were not in the options given. Only God knows what would become our fate as we pray JAMB officials would consider this when marking and grading us.” Collaborating Jerah’s claims is Miss Precious Ogunlele who also wrote the exam at Yaba College of Technology, who said “Questions 11-20 of English Language were incorrect as the answers were not on the options. We only pray and hope this would be taken into consideration so as not to negatively affect our scores.” When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the portion in question is the comprehension part whereby they have to fill in the gaps. He said “You know these students are in a hurry to finish and most of them don’t take their time to go through the questions. Even some candidates in one of the centers I visited pointed out that to me and I had to explain to them that in comprehension, you have to fill in the gaps. I can assure you that JAMB didn’t make any mistake when setting the questions.”

MTN has been fined millions again!...See what they did!

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has imposed a fine of N12 million on MTN Nigeria for breach of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) business rules and regulations. The regulatory body also slammed a sanction of N22 million against Globacom Ltd (Glo) over the same offence. This was revealed in NCC’s 2015 Q4 compliance monitoring and enforcement report. In its Q3 report, NCC had said it would monitor and sanction violations with MNP process time obligations in order “to address the increasing cases of port request rejections”. The commission said series of compliance checks were carried out regarding timer violations by donor operators with respect to @validation and deactivation responses@, which had timelines of 2 hours and 1 hour respectively. According to the Q3 report, there is a timer deactivation violation by MTN, regarding a corporate port request of over 109 lines belonging to Nigerian Breweries Plc. “The company had initiated a corporate port out request from MTN to Glo via lead Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN): 07036735494 on August 11, 2015 at 1:20 pm but was partially completed as at 11:22am on August 14, 2015,” the report read. “As a result, these subscribers were not able to receive calls from MTN subscribers. “In the same vein, a timer validation violation by MTN regarding four individual Port requests from MSISDNs: 08139382308, 08143810152, 08135485305 and 08162108093. “MTN breached the allowable two hours for validation of four port requests from the NPC, as stated in the MNP Business Rules.” The 2015 Q3 report also showed that there was a timer validation violation by Glo regarding 11 individual and one corporate Port requests. It said that Glo had breached the two hours allowable for validation of six port requests from the NPC as stated in the MNP Business Rules. Glo validated one of these port requests over nine hours after receipt from the MNP administrator. The report also said that Glo breached the allowable one hour for the Donor to deactivate 147 Ported out lines belonging to Reckitt Ltd, consistent with provisions of the MNP Business Rules. It, however, said that all the above timer violations were undergoing enforcement actions. NCC confirmed that the two telecoms companies had paid the fine.
