Peter and Paul P-Square Back Together...!! After weeks of Break-up Drama
PSquare, Nigerian musical group comprising the Okoye brothers, seems to have buried the hatchet after weeks of drama and public spat about splitting up.
Peter and Paul Okoye took to their social media pages to share similar pictures with the same captions.
“That it took our stupidity to realize that FAMILY comes first, We are VERY SORRY.”
Jude Okoye, their elder brother and manager who was sacked at the beginning of the drama, was not left out as he shared the same picture with his twin brothers.
That it took our stupidity to realize that FAMILY comes first, We are VERY SORRY. @peterpsquare… https://t.co/PxmoBhbRCj
— JUDE Engees OKOYE (@judeengees) March 21, 2016
There were speculations that the brothers were longer an item after Peter Okoye, one half of the musical group, announced his new manager and rechristened himself ‘Mr P’.
The 33-year-old dancer also performed at a few shows alone, which was unusual, and released a single Look Into my Eyes.
Paul Okoye, who stood with Jude Okoye, their brother and manager at the beginning of the drama, also released a single about the situation.
With lyrics like ‘Cos if to say una dey, For everything wey dey happen today, E for be say una go intervene, Cos right now everything na pain, See your children dey misbehave’ fans reached the conclusion that he was reporting the situation to their dead parents.
This is not the first time that there have been speculations of a split between the brothers but this is the first time that the brothers have had a public fight and exchanged remarks.
In 2014, there were rumours of a PSquare split but it was debunked by the brothers.
The brothers kicked off their musical career 19 years ago and are known for hit tracks like Do Me, Personally, BizzyBody to mention a few.

Revealed..!! The Success secrets of UNILAG graduate who scored 5.0 CGPA
Ayodele Dada, the ex-University of Lagos student, who scored a accumulative grade point average of 5.0, was honoured by the house of representatives on Wednesday.
The house suspended its standing rules to receive him at its chamber, in a rare show of honour reserved for only presidents and top government officials.
Speaking with TheCable afterwards, Dada briefly narrated how he juggled several jobs and school, declaring that he never had a girlfriend in his time at the university.
On how he achieved the feat, he said: “They were many things that contributed to that. It is difficult to put it down to one thing because I look at life as a very colourful mosaic of experiences; they all blend to create a picture.
“I know God was there for me all the way, but there was the support of very well-meaning but not-so-celebrated people like my lecturers.”
Regarding how he coped with female course mates, he said: “Interestingly, almost all my friends are girls. Why that is so is that I maintain a positive relationship with girls. For me, it was more of focus, and the readiness to keep to my principles.”
And on whether he had a girlfriend at school, he simply said:”I didn’t have any girlfriend.”
Dada also said that he had received a lot of job offers, but that he would think on which one best suits his vision.
“Yes, I have got a number of offers. One day passes and I get a call, then another call; I don’t know the number, but they are accumulating. They are so many, so it is up to me decide what is in line with my vision.”
On how he survived at school, he said: “I had to work at school. I was working several jobs to pay my bills after classes. There were times I had financial challenges and I was hungry.
“I faced all the difficulties. Although after a while, there was a bit stability. I did private tutoring, and I made sometimes N5,000 per day.”

Check out what happened in the Nigerian Senate Yesterday...!
The Senate has passed the 2016 Federal budget today after months of confusion and delays. It will be recalled that allegations were made against President Buhari and his Special Adviser for National Assembly Matters (Senate) Ita Enang that they conspired to steal the budget document from the Senate following the discovery of embarrassing appropriations.
Included in these appropriations was an opulent line item for books for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s office and vehicles for the Presidency. Responding to some excessive appropriations, President Buhari terminated many employees he held responsible for these line items.
The total allocation for the Fiscal Year 2016 budget is N6.08 trillion.

Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to stop using dwindling crude prices for lack of performance.
According to Obasanjo, he met worse when he took power in 1999, but made the best of it.
He reminded Buhari that unlike his administration that met a paltry $3.7 billion, in the coffers, Goodluck Jonathan left behind a whooping $30 billion.
He said “When I assumed office in 1999, I inherited $3.7 billion in reserve, while Buhari met $30 billion, almost 10 times of what I met then, and the price of oil then was $9. When it got to $20, I was dancing. know the price is down now and with time, it will jump up again. What Buhari is doing currently is preparing ground for Nigeria to take advantage when it goes up again.”
Obasanjo expressed angst against those asking him to account for recovered Abacha loot, describing them as illiterates and silly people.
Obasanjo, who stated this in an interview, weekend, said the role of his office was to facilitate the recovery process and not how it was put to use.
He said: “They said the money recovered from Abacha, I should account for it. What stupidity! The man who asked for it, the man who gave the judgement or who answered them are all silly, with due respect.
“I don’t keep account, all Abacha loots were sent to Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and every bit of it was reported to Minister of Finance. My job was to write where we can get help to recover the money.
“Every penny that comes out of it went to CBN, so if they want to know what happened to the money, they should call CBN governor or call the Minister of Finance.
“But again, it shows ignorance, total ignorance, which is lacking and you wonder, are these people educated? They can also approach the man who helped us in recovering process to give the list of
money recovered and where he took it.”

“We have submitted bids for the car maker … with Aliko Dangote on board together with BoI, Kebbi and Kaduna state; we are confident our bid will sail through,” he was quoted by Reuters to have said.
Peugeot is a local joint venture with the French automaker, with a long history in Nigeria, the anticipated hub of automotive assembling on the Africa continent.

This was kinda hard for me to believe....
This massive, serpentine beast which is over 17ft doesn’t only come from the family of the world’s largest snakes. It is the largest ever captured.
The capture of the Anaconda is part of a BBC documentary; 'Tribes, Predators and Me' presented by Gordon Buchanan who lived alongside an indigenous Ecuadorian tribe, the Waorani, in the Amazon.
In the show, Buchanan joins a tribal family to hunt an Anaconda, the Amazon’s most dangerous predator, the animal is a proven man-eater but the locals believe its capture and release is not only a sign of bravery but see the feat as a source of immense spiritual power.

Banger Alert in Osun as Workers will not recieve March salary..!!!
From all indications, the Osun state government will be unable to pay the March salaries of its workers, as the state only got N6.23 million in federal allocation for the month.
This is far below the N56 million it received in September 2015. Rauf Aregbesola, governor of the state, has said the sum will not even be enough to pay electricity bills for the state secretariat.
“Money coming from the Federation Account has dipped seriously and our hope for survival is in our hands; what our forefathers lived on was agriculture,” Aregbesola said back in September 2015.
“For September, our state got N55.8 million. The money we received cannot pay for the power supply by Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) that we use at the state Secretariat monthly.”
According to the accountant-general of the federation, the state got a gross statutory allocation of N1.677 billion for February, slightly above the allocation for Ekiti, Ebonyi, Kwara and Bayelsa.
Osun also got N19.418 million and N726.1 million from the exchange rate gain and value added tax, resulting in a total gross amount of N2.423 billion for the month.
The total allocation for Osun was seen to be higher than Nasarawa, Kwara, Gombe, Ekiti and Ebonyi.
However, with the removal of the N70.989 million, N945.881 million and N1.400 billion in external debt, Irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO), and other debts, the state was left with a net allocation of N6.23 million.
With a wage bill of over N2.6 billion, the net allocation of N6.23 million would do next to nothing in the southwestern state with meagre internally generated revenue (IGR).
Every other state of the federation had a minimum net allocation of N1 billion.
Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kwara, Gombe, Nasarawa, had a net allocation of N2.984 billion, N2.167 billion, N1.377 billion, N1.815 billion, N2.300 billion, N2.169 billion respectively.
With a wage bill of N2.6 billion, Ekiti, like Osun, led by Ayodele Fayose, may also have problems meeting its wage obligations.
On the high end, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Lagos and Rivers state got N8.557 billion, N6.062 billion, N6.612 billion and N5.427 billion respectively.

Gbege! for DSS as Ekiti Lawmaker dies in their custody..!!
The Ekiti state government says one of the state assembly lawmakers in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) has died.
Lanre Ogunsuyi, commissioner for information, youth, sports and culture, made the disclosure at a news conference in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.
“Information reaching us indicates that one of the abducted members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Honourable Afolabi Akanni (pictured), has died in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS),” he said.
“Significantly, since his illegal detention, he has been held incommunicado without access to his family members, doctors and lawyers.
“We call on the DSS to immediately clarify the situation as to the status (dead or alive) of Hon. Afolabi Akanni, representing Efon Constituency, by producing him physically for all Nigerians, particularly his immediate family to see.
“While we are waiting for the DSS, we urge every resident of Ekiti State, particularly the people of his immediate constituency in Efon, to remain calm.”
Ogunsuyi also alleged that the lawmaker, who was arrested on March 4, died owing to a lack of access to a doctor.
“We were told that he developed an ailment last night and he died by morning. The DSS had denied him access to his family, his doctor or to anyone that knows him,” he claimed.
The Ekiti state assembly had been in the throes of crisis, forcing its closure.
Ayodele Fayose, governor of the state, once alleged that the crisis in the state legislature was the handiwork of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also alleged that the APC had given the state lawmakers $1m to impeach him.

8 other musical groups that broke up like 'P-Square'...
It is no more news that P-Square, the musical group that was made of two brothers from the same mother and one of the most successful in the Nigerian entertainment industry has finally broken up. In this report, S.O.B takes a look at other musical groups who have also broken up in the past.
It is rather unfortunate that these break-ups do happen. Most Nigerians I believe don't really like the idea of friends, brothers, colleagues who have built successful musical groups breaking up, especially as in the case of the most recent; the 'P-Square' group.
Check the list of other groups who have gone the P-Square way:
1) Plantashun Boiz:
This R&B group was a hit in the late 90s and early 2000s. It consisted of Innocent Idibia (Tuface), Chibuzor Oji (Faze) and Ahmedu Augustine Obiano (Blackface). The group released three albums together and are remembered for songs like Say You Believe Me, You and I and Plantashun Boiz.
The group eventually broke up because theirs was a situation of “three captains in one ship” as Tuface later admitted.
2) KC PRESH:
The members of the group gained popularity after they won Star Quest TV show, and they coined their name from their first names: Kingsley and Precious.
Presh would later say he walked away from the group because he did not get to do his style of music. They had two albums together and will be remembered for a couple of hit songs, the hottest of which is Shokori Bobo.
3)The REMEDIES:
Founded in 1997, the group consisted of Tony Tetuila, Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddie Remedy and was a hit in the 90s. The trio split in the early 2000s with the members pursuing individual musical careers.
They released only one album together, but their Shakomo and Sade are still a club hit till date.
While Tetuila became popular for tracks such as Omode Meta, Morning Time, Hit my Car and My Heart Go Jigijigi, Eedris Abdulkareem remained in the limelight for songs like Oko Omoge, Mr Lecturer and Jaga Jaga.
Eddy Remedy, the unluckiest member of the group quickly fizzled out of limelight, but not before dropping Arrival and A Chorongi.
4) Maintain:
Olu Maintain you already know, but Tolu Maintain (pictured) partnered with him – with Big Bamo pulling the strings mostly from the background – to form the group that was known as ‘Maintain’.
They had a couple of hit songs from the late 90s till 2005 when they split. They are remembered for songs like I Catch Cold, Nibo La Wa Ngbe Lo.
While Tolu concentrated on his banking job after the breakup, Olu Maintain continued doing music, releasing hit tracks like Yahoozee and Nawti.
5) ZULEZOO:
They became popular after the success of their Kerewa, which was banned for obscene content. Mike and Ibrahim Alhassan, members of the group, tried to go solo but they didn’t have any hit songs.
6) INFINITY:
They were a gospel group that became popular after the release of their hit songs Olori Oko, Aye Ole and Only Praise in 2007.
They had only one album together and crisis began after the exit of Kehinde Akinbode, now known as K’ore, who would later admit privately that members of the gospel group were not practising what they preached.
The now-four-man-group tried to stay together after his exit but it was not quite easy.
7) KUSH:
Their split was as inevitable as it was rancour-free; it is always hard for a group of single females to stay compact after marriage, with the pressure of tending to homes located hundreds of thousand of miles apart.
The group started at the University of Lagos and consisted of four ladies, the main faces being Ty Bello, Emem Emma, and Lara George. Dapo Torimiro was their backbone from the background. They were persuasively named KUSH – Kinetically Ushering Salvation into Homes.
They had barely hit fame with their single Let’s Live Together when they split due to the pressure of their homes and differences in the locations that individual members wanted to settle in.
8) Mo HITS:
The group was founded in 2004 and co-owned by Micheal Ajereh Collins (better known as Don Jazzy) and Dapo Oyebanjo (known as D’Banj – or Skibanj ‘like his Jamaican friends called him’!).
It became a label that signed various artistes such as Wande Coal, D’Prince, Dr Sid and K-Switch, but it split in 2012 due to irreconcilable differences between the co-owners.
They have since pursued solo musical careers, and both now own successful record labels.
They will be remembered for so many hit singles, a few of which are Tongolo, Mo Bo Lowo Won, Socor, Why Me, Rundown, Pere, Booty Call, Fall In Love, Gbona Felifeli, Igwe, Kimon, Taboo.

Forget it, Biafra Will not Stand,....Buhari Vows...
South-East Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations, SBCHROs, has accused security forces of killing 80 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and their supporters between August 30, 2015 and February 9, 2016.
The accusation came on a day President Muhammadu Buhari vowed that Biafra will not stand.
The coalition also estimated those maimed at 170, just as it put the total number of those arrested, detained, charged or kept in captivity without trial at 400. In what it termed as the concluding part of its letter to the Chief of the Defence Staff, Gen Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, and the Minister of Interior, Gen Abdulrahman Dambazzau (retd), entitled: ‘Ceaseless Killings Of Unarmed Citizens In Nigeria: Why Security Chiefs Must Desist From Provoking More Insurgencies Capable Of Plunging Nigeria Into Syrian Style (Concluding Part),’
SBCHROs alleged that the army, police and navy specifically killed 22 IPOB members on February 9, 2016 in the compound of the National High School in Aba, Abia State; maimed over 30 others, murdered 13 of them and dumped their bodies inside a burrow pit located, along Aba-Port Harcourt Road in Abia State. The group added that the army was responsible for 60 percent of the killings, police 30 percent and others including the navy, 10 percent, stressing that the video clips of the Aba National High School massacre and the Aba-Port Harcourt Road burrow pit dumping of 13 murdered IPOB members were available on request. The letter was copied to the UN Secretary General and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, among others. Efforts to reach the Director of Defence Information, Colonel Rabe Abubakar, last night, to comment on the coalition’s allegations proved abortive. In a related development, President Buhari has stated, that Nigeria would not tolerate the agitation for Biafra.
Speaking to Aljazeera television during his visit to Qatar, last week, Buhari recalled that over two million lives were lost during the Nigeria civil war between 1967 to 1970 that resulted from the demand for Biafra. He said: “At least two millions Nigerians were killed in the Biafra war. And for somebody to wake up, may be they weren’t born then, looking for Biafra after two millions people were killed, they are joking with the security and Nigeria won’t tolerate Biafra.”
Also speaking on the economy and the pressure to devalue the Naira, the President stated that Nigeria was prepared to go against the advice on International Monetary Fund, IMF. He maintained that the devaluation of the Naira would not pay Nigeria, saying the country was purely an import nation. He also stated their despite the plummeting crude oil prices in the international market, it would pay Nigeria to remain in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC. “If it is against our national interest, why can’t we go against the IMF advice?” Buhari asks.
Oyaa, Answer Him Now...(LMAO!)

See what Iran did to a Corrupt Government Official like D*suki...!
Iran has sentenced billionaire tycoon Babak Zanjani, reportedly one of the country’s richest men, to death, convicting him of corruption after a long trial on accusations he fraudulently pocketed $2.8 billion. A justice official announced the punishment Sunday, noting that Zanjani, who became notorious for finding ways to channel hard currency from oil sales during the sanctions-ridden era of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from 2005 to 2013, could appeal.
Zanjani rose to prominence after sanctions imposed on the Islamic republic’s banks as punishment for its nuclear programme hit the country’s finances hard. Having taken commissions, he said he was at all times working with the knowledge and backing of Ahmadinejad’s government and he boasted in media interviews of his skills and wealth amassed by managing to subvert the banking restrictions.
He said he did so using a web of companies in various countries including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Malaysia, selling millions of barrels of Iranian oil. But he was arrested in December 2013, three months after current President Hassan Rouhani took office, having pledged to crack down on corruption. Zanjani, 41, was convicted of fraud and economic crimes and must repay money to the state as well as face the death penalty, judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejeie said.
The trial was public, a rarity for such a major case in Iran, and two other accused were also convicted of “corruption on earth”, the most serious offence in the Islamic republic, meaning they too will face the death penalty. “The preliminary court has sentenced these three defendants to be executed, as well as paying restitution to the plaintiff,” said Mohseni-Ejeie, adding this was the oil ministry. They must also pay a “fine equal to one fourth of the money that was laundered”, the spokesman said, without specifying the sum. Zanjani had denied wrongdoing, insisting the only reason the money had not been paid to the oil ministry was that sanctions had prevented a planned transfer from taking place. That claim was disputed in court.

Personally, I don't think corruption should be brought back, cos it was actually corruption that has been perpetrated over many years that has led to all the Sh*t we are experiencing now. Rashford To Dump N13m Audi For Super Car From Man Utd Sponsors (Photos)
After initially ignoring the teenager at the beginning of the season, reports in the UK have now revealed that Man United sponsors, Chevrolet has now decided to present Old Trafford hero, Marcus Rashford with his own super car.
According to reports in The Sun UK late on Tuesday, Rashford, who drives a grey Audi A3 worth between N8.2m and between N13.13m (£18,865 and £30,195) in which he was seen in school on Monday, will now be led by Chevrolet representatives to choose a super car of his choice within the array of models by the American companies.
“All the first teamers get free cars from Chevrolet but Marcus has come in under the radar and doesn’t have his own Chevy.
“That’s all about to change, however, and the marketing guys at Chevrolet will be getting him to choose which motor he wants,” The Sun UK quoted a source as saying to the tabloid on Tuesday.

Yawa don Gas OBJ and GEJ over recovered loots..!!!
A federal high court sitting in Lagos has ruled that successive governments since 1999 erred by not publicising details of the stolen funds that have been recovered. The judgment was delivered by M.B. Idris, a justice, following a freedom of information suit no: FHC/IKJ/CS/248/2011 brought by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP). Idris asked the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to “ensure that his government, and the governments of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and former President Goodluck Jonathan account fully for all recovered loot”. He said previous governments breached the fundamental principles of transparency and accountability for failing to disclose details about the spending of recovered stolen public funds, including on a dedicated website”. “The details ordered by the court to be disclosed include: information on the total amount of recovered stolen public assets by each government; the amount of recovered stolen public assets spent by each government as well as the objects of such spending and the projects on which such funds were spent,” SERAP said in a statement. “Justice Idris dismissed all the objections raised by the federal government and upheld SERAP’s arguments. Consequently, the court entered judgment in favour of SERAP against the federal government as follows: “A DECLARATION is hereby made that the failure and/or refusal of the Respondents to individually and/or collectively disclose detailed information about the spending of recovered stolen public funds since the return of civil rule in 1999, and to publish widely such information, including on a dedicated website, amounts to a breach of the fundamental principles of transparency and accountability and violates Articles 9, 21 and 22 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act “A DECLARATION is hereby made that by virtue of the provisions of Section 4 (a) of the freedom of information Act 2011, the 1st defendant/respondent is under a binding legal obligation to provide the plaintiff/applicant with up to date information on the spending of recovered stolen funds, including: “Detailed information on the total amount of recovered stolen public assets that have so far been recovered by Nigeria. The amount that has been spent from the recovered stolen public assets and the objects of such spending.” Olukayode Majekodunmi, SERAP deputy executive director, commended the judgment, describing it as a step towards encouraging a “corruption-free society”. “This judgment confirms the persistent failure of successive governments starting from the Obasanjo government, to respect Nigerians’ right to a corruption-free society and to uphold constitutional and international commitments on transparency and accountability,” he said. “The judgment is an important step towards reversing a culture of secrecy and corruption that has meant that high-ranking government officials continue to look after themselves at the expense of the well-being of majority of Nigerians, and development of the country. “This is a crucial precedent that vindicates the right to a transparent and accountable government and affirms the human right of the Nigerian people to live a life free from want and fear. We are in the process of obtaining a certified copy of the around 60 pages judgment. SERAP will do everything within its power to secure the full and effective enforcement of this judgment.”
